Catherine's News

Dear families,

2022 Fete

Sunday saw an incredibly successful fete after months of untold hours and preparation by so many wonderful people! There was an amazing vibe from start to finish and we hope everyone enjoyed the vast range of stalls, food and activities!

Whilst we can't name everyone it would be remiss not to mention in particular:

Kaitlan Challis, Toni Anderson, Donna Campbell, Sonia Porcino, Luke Chesson, Matthew Regos, Jenny Moore, Shannon McAuliffe, Lisa Galante, Emma Wood, Michelle  Monaghan, Jill & Andrew Holmes, Kim Lee, Gina Strupl, Kate Densley, Marta Baker, Chloe Ziola, Natalie Bezzina, Melissa McGloughlin, Danny Maher, Tony Reiche, Steve Colquitt and every single stall co-ordinator and sponsor.  St Paul's greatly appreciates the tremendous amount of organisation and commitment invested and thank you all most sincerely.

Arts Festival 9 November

We are all in preparation mode for the St Paul’s Arts Festival on Wednesday 9 November. The Arts Festival is a combination of Visual and Performing Arts.  Ms Saunders,  Art Teacher, is looking for some helpers to hang artwork on the day between 9am and 3:30pm. If you have an hour or so that you can kindly spare, Bec would be very appreciative. Please email her the time you’re available at rsaunders@spbentleigh.catholic.edu.au

Bec is also looking for a few things:

1. The UV glow space is going to be an Alice in Wonderland theme. If you have any props that connect to this theme, such as clocks, teacups, a small door, large playing cards, a white rabbit, a potion bottle, fake flowers etc we promise to take good care of them and you will see them back in your hands safely after the show.
2. If anyone has any black cloth/fabric, that would be amazing. This is to cover the tables with, and for the UV room too.
Feel free to drop anything you have into the Art room anytime, just make sure your name is on it so that your item can be returned to the right person afterwards.

We are all looking forward to a great night of celebrating the Arts!

School Mass

Parents, friends and families are warmly welcomed to join us at Mass next Thursday 3 November at 10am. The Yr 1 students will form the choir and the Preps are preparing the Liturgy.

Report Writing Day

Please remember that Monday 31 October is a pupil-free day and the school will be closed. OSH Club will be available if required (Ph 1300395735 if you need to book).

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is on 11 November. On this day we remember all the people who have lost their lives while serving in the armed forces. It’s also called Armistice Day or Poppy Day. Badges and keyrings are available to buy next week, supplied by our local RSL Club. Prices range from $2-$10. Please bring small change if you wish to purchase.

Year 4GL will be attending a Remembrance Day Ceremony and laying a wreath at the Bentleigh RSL.

Olivia Payavlas

Congratulations to Olivia on winning the 2022 Sub-juniors coaches award at Bentleigh Calisthenics.
