Omedetou gozaimasu (Congratulations!) to Jade Pang in 5K.  This year in Japanese, students in Grades 5 and 6 have been challenged to learn how to write all 46 basic Hiragana Japanese writing syllables with 100% accuracy to achieve a Hiragana Blackbelt.  This is a genuinely difficult task even for adults and takes practice, perseverance and resilience.  After lockdown lifted, Jade surprised us all by coming back to school having completely conquered the writing of these tricky first 46 syllables.  Jade has now achieved her 2021 Hiragana Blackbelt and will move on towards achieving Hiragana Master status.   Jeedo-san, yoku dekimashita!  (Well done, Jade.)
