RE News
Wednesday is Ash Wednesday. Unfortunately the children in Grades 3-6 will be unable to attend Mass and the P-2’s unable to participate in a planned Liturgy.
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. It occurs forty days before Easter not counting Sundays. The ashes remind us that God helps us to grow.
The children will be learning about Ash Wednesday and Lent. The message for our children is that all actions help us to live more like Jesus and that we can all follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

Values/Strengths
Making connections and knowing what is important for our Catholic Identity is a focus this Year. We are learning about the Values/Strengths of our Catholic Identity. The goal is to make connections between RE and Values and how that looks and translates to everyday life.
This month the value is ACCEPTANCE
- God wants us to make friends with everyone no matter how different they may look or act.
- Acceptance...is the ability to respect the dignity and rights of all persons, even those whose beliefs and behaviours differ from our own.
Kind Regards
