Religion at St Paul's
We are all looking forward to our first Mass in the church to celebrate the beginning of the year. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to attend Mass and have the Grade 6’s participate in the Mass.
The beginning of the year is always exciting and all classes are designing and making their own Prayer Cloth to be used throughout the year. Our focus for the first few weeks is setting up prayer spaces and talking to the children about prayer and all the places we can pray.
The Sacramental Program for this year is as follows.
Due to Covid-19 the students in Year 5 have not yet received the Sacrament of Eucharist. Fr Jacob will hold two Masses on the weekend of 27 & 28 February for the students to receive the Sacrament. Parents are asked to choose a suitable time and book in as soon as possible.
The Year 4 students who did not receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation last year will join with the Yr 3 students and are invited to choose a suitable time and book after 8 March. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be in small groups of 10. Please see the table below. All links will be provided next week for bookings.

There is a beautiful book titled ‘Dear Pope Francis’. It is a book with letters from children to Pope Francis. Children from 26 countries were asked to write letters to Pope Francis. 259 letters were received in 14 different languages. When holding the letters in his hand for the first time Pope Francis smiled and said “These questions are tough.” We are sharing one of the letters with the children and it is a lovely way for the children to find out more about Pope Francis.
Here are 3 pictures we are sharing with the children.
