Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 4! I trust you all had a lovely break. Whether your holidays took you near or far, I hope you managed to create special memories. Personally, the majority of my holidays were spent at dancing and calisthenic competitions with my daughter and whilst they were very busy, it was wonderful to have this time to support and cheer her on.
As you may have noticed this morning, we have had a few projects going on during the school holidays. A very big thank you to the P&F for upgrading the sandpit. It looks amazing and the students have loved playing in it today. We have also had the painters in during the holidays. They have finished the internal repairs to the damage in the leadership room, ICT lab and library during the storms last year. The back fence near Year 1G’s classroom has also been replaced during the holidays. I thank the staff for assisting me during the holidays with these projects so there were no interruptions for the students this week.
Term 4 is traditionally a very busy term. We have the school's concert, the twilight night, athletics, swimming programs, assessment and reporting, carols nights, graduation, excursions and many more events. Whilst a busy term it is always a fun term.
Our school concert is just over 2 weeks away. The students have done a wonderful job last term learning their item and putting the show together. We will have rehearsals this term to fine tune the show and add in props and costumes. A big thank you to Amanda Moore and Alex Carlson for creating the props during their holidays and to Jess Walker and Natalie Birthisel for their efforts in organising the costumes and all the accessories. We will have a whole school dress rehearsal on Tuesday 14th October. I ask that all costume pieces are brought to school by Monday 13th October in a labelled bag. Please make sure all articles of clothing are labelled. These costumes will then stay at school until the concert the week after.
Programs went on sale at the end of last term. Thank you to the families who have purchased these. They have now been sent off to the printers and will be available the week of the concert. If you missed out on ordering a program, there will be a limited number available to purchase at the office but this will be a first in best dressed approach.
Tickets for the concert are now on sale. As previously stated, there will be no limit on tickets available for each family. Please use the link below:

More information regarding the concert will be sent to families this week. This will include drop off times and logistics of the day and night.
Thank you to the families who have informed me in writing that their child will not be returning to St Paul’s next year. I ask that if you are not returning in 2026 that you please let me know ASAP in writing (jtreagus@spbentleigh.catholic.edu.au). Unless it is in writing, I will assume your child will be returning in 2026. We will be beginning the process of class lists for 2026 in the next few weeks. As you can imagine this is a very time consuming activity and there are many factors we look at to ensure the classes are correct. If you have any special requests for 2026 I also need these in writing. This does not guarantee that you will be granted your request as there are many factors we need to consider in determining what is best for each individual and cohort. Could I please have any requests emailed to me by the end of October (jtreagus@spbentleigh.catholic.edu.au).
Kind regards
Jussahra Treagus
