Interschool Football
I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Year 5 and 6 interschool football game last Thursday. I was truly overwhelmed by the level of teamwork, resilience and pure determination our students displayed on the field. From the very first whistle to the final moments of the game, they gave it their all, demonstrating not only skill, but heart and sportsmanship.
A huge thank you goes to Coach Rob (Lofty), who stepped in on the day and did an absolutely incredible job leading the team. His energy and encouragement were contagious—his quarter time and half time pep talks were so powerful, even I felt ready to lace up and join the match! His presence clearly made a huge impact on the students, helping them stay focused and motivated throughout the game.
Although we didn’t secure a win against our long-standing rivals, St Peter’s, the spirit in which our students played was a true victory in itself. Their support for one another, the way they communicated and worked together and their never-give-up attitude were nothing short of amazing. It's moments like these that remind us how sport can bring out the best in our young people.
Congratulations to all the players for representing our school with pride. You have done us proud and we can’t wait to see what you bring to the field next time!
