Dear Parents,
This week is all about the Fete with the final arrangements being made by Kaitlan, Toni, the fete committee and stall holders. All we need now is to pray for a warm sunny day!
It has been wonderful to see the St Paul’s community come together and work so hard in preparing for Sunday. I hope some fun and new friendships have been formed along the way!
Late Start Monday
Students in Prep-2 are being offered a late start on Monday 24 October at 10am after the Fete, which will allow teachers the time needed to put their classrooms back together. The Prep and Year 1 classrooms are being used for stalls with the furniture and resources being stored in the Year 2 rooms. Students who arrive at the regular time will be supervised on the playground until the rooms are ready. Lessons will commence at 10am.
Super Star Gymnast
Ollie Heggie (Year 6) recently received a silver medal for parallel bars when he participated in the Victorian High Performance MAG program with Gymnastics Victoria. Ollie was competing up a level in the competition and had not expected to win a place on the day. Congratulations Ollie we are all so proud of you and the dedicated commitment you have to gymnastics.
Summer Uniforms
Students are asked to wear full summer uniforms and hats in Term 4. A reminder that nail varnish and jewelry are not to be worn. The second-hand uniform shop is open again on Monday 7 November between 8.30 and 9.00am. If you have any orders in the meantime please email Louise in the office.
Lost property has been built up with three baskets of unnamed jumpers, drink bottles and lunch boxes. Please ensure all of your child's belongings are clearly labeled.
Refurbishment Project to Junior Building
The final component of the building project has now been completed with lighting and a sound system installed in the Amphitheatre.
This has created an exciting multi-purpose facility which will be used for Assemblies and special twilight or evening events. We are hoping to hold this year's Carols and Year 6 Graduation in this space, if the weather allows.
Confirmation
The Year 6 students are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation later this term. Commitment Masses were attended by the students over the weekend where the parish community prayed for God's blessing and grace on the students.
Higgins Rd update
Please note that the proposed work to Higgins Road will now commence on Monday 24 August after the Fete. Details to follow this week.
