St Paul's Newsletter Term 3 Week 7
Dear Parents,
Congratulations to the Trivia Night Team - Donna Campbell, Sarah & Lincoln Easton, Tegan Lloyd, Julia Cannell, Marisa Manakis, Jo Frith, Matt Burgess, Suzanne Commerford, Michelle Williams, Melissa McLoughlin, Bec Saunders, Danny Maher and all parents who contributed to making Friday night such a success. It was wonderful to see everyone dressed up in the Vegas theme and enjoying a fun night of trivia. A special thanks to Michael Hanney, Principal at St Peter's for allowing us to use the Hall. It was the perfect space to spread out and catch up with friends. If you have not collected any prizes from the night please come and collect yours from the office as soon as possible.
School Closure Day
A reminder that Monday 22 August is our school closure day. Staff will be engaged in professional learning on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). OSH Club will be running on this day.
Inappropriate Content - Huggy Wuggy
It has come to our attention that some of the junior students are talking about and playing a game called Huggy Wuggy. It is apparently an online character from youtube.
It seems to be a horror character disguised as a child-friendly toy/video on youtube.

Book Week
It's back! Let's celebrate great literature.....
Our annual Book Week Parade will be on Tuesday 23rd August around 9am. Please send your child/ren to school dressed as their favourite book character. Parents are invited also to stay and enjoy this whole school event. Despina has also organised a wonderful Book Fair through Ashton Scholastic. The library will be open for sales before and after school (8:30-9:00 and 3:30-4:00pm) on 23rd, 24th and 25th August and again on the 30th and 31st August. All sales go towards purchasing rich literature for our students.
Also remember that it is book collection day on Tuesday 23rd August for the upcoming Fete.
Whole School Mass
Families and friends are welcome to join us on Thursday 25 August to celebrate the Eucharist. Mass begins at 10am and has been prepared by the Yr 6 students.
Year 3 Learning Assemblies
It was great to see so many of the Year 3 parents attend the Learning Assemblies in the Digital Learning space last week. Many creative minds came together to design and code lego. The parents even came up with some ideas of their own!
Enjoy your weekends.
