Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank our school community - students, families and staff who have once again come together to engage in Remote Learning. Thank you parents for ensuring your children are online connecting to google meets and completing their work. Thank you to all students who demonstrate resilience and optimism and to all staff who are supporting students wellbeing and learning both at school and online. We are all hopeful that on Friday we will return to school. Once we are updated as to what will be happening at the end of this period of lockdown, I will be contacting all families via email. This will take place on Thursday the 10th of June and will include an update of all changes for the remainder of the term.

This year, St Paul’s was registered to participate in the National Simultaneous Story Time event. It was held on Wednesday 19 May 2021 at 11:00am from the International Space Station!
National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. It is a fun event that promotes an Australian writer and publisher and the value of reading for pleasure.
“Give Me Some Space” written and illustrated by Philip Bunting was read out loud for all the students to enjoy alongside many others all around the country. Everyone stopped and joined astronaut Shannon Walker read the fabulous book from the International Space Station.
Imagine astronauts reading stories from space to school children & families…. It was so exciting!
This wonderful initiative was enjoyed by many at school. Thanks teachers and students for making NSS 2021 out of this world.
