Dear Families,
Welcome back to the final term for 2023. I hope everyone had an amazing break and is looking forward to our busy term ahead!
It was an outstanding Grand Final on Saturday! Very close from start to finish. Congratulations to all the Collingwood supporters, and commiserations to Brisbane supporters.
As you would have read last week, there are major works going on around the school by South East Water and we remind everyone to please be patient and allow extra time for pick up and drop-offs. The safety of all students is of paramount importance to us all and we really appreciate your ongoing and unconditional support with this.
We ask that all students remember to bring their hats and sunscreen to school. As of week 2, a "no hat, no play" policy will apply. Please also ensure ALL items are labelled - uniform items, drink bottles and containers. There is a two-week transition period from winter to summer given the temperamental weather at the start of Term 4.
Go for Gold 2023 - one lucky student will win a Fitbit Ace!
We have joined Glen Eira City Council’s Active Schools – Go for Gold program for the month of October (2-27). Sometime this week you will receive a Golden Ticket and each time you walk, ride, skate or scoot to school one of the Year 6 Community leaders will tick one of the boxes on your ticket and then your classroom SRC representative will record it on your classroom calendar.
The more active you are, the better our school’s chance at becoming Glen Eira City Council’s Active Schools Champion for 2023. Be active and help us win!
If you live too far away to walk and bearing in mind the current traffic situation, it might be an idea to park a few streets away and walk back. Don't forget we have rostered additional

Thank you to everyone who bought something from our cake stall last term. It was a huge success! We raised a total of $2,500!! We would also like to thank Louise and Despina for their contributions and to our wonderful staff for their generous donations. Finally, we would like to thank our local MP Nick Staikos for his support and donation.

Last Sunday’s Migrant & Refugee Sunday Parish International Food Fest
It was lovely to see so many bring along a plate of their own national “finger food” and a number of parishioners also brought their families and dressed in national costume. It was great fun and a wonderful turnout in all three of our parish communities.
